I first began with creating a painterly background for my photos and Sizzix die cut embellishments using water color paints.

Whilst the paint was still wet I blotted up some of the paint with 2 of the Sizzix die cut leaf branches, [blot up paint on the patterned side of patterned paper].

When paint was dry I then arranged the cotton thread and adhered my photo to the background.

I cut out 3 lots of the Sizzix die cut flowers, I coloured these with splatted water color paint.

These are the branches and flowers after having water color paint applied.

Prima chalk ink was applied to the edges of all the flowers, along with Prima decorative brads and crystals to their centres.

Layout was completed using one of the smaller Sizzix die cut branches and assorted small medium and large Sizzix die cut flowers; [as can be seen in close up layout photos].

All the edges of the tag were inked with the Prima chalk ink.

Use the painterly technique as for the background on the tag and allow to dry.

Adhere one each of the larger Sizzix die cut flowers and smaller branch to the tag.

Complete tag by adding sentiment with Prima alphabet stickers and painting them to coordinate with the tag color scheme.

I coloured a strip of trim with coordinating water color paint for the tag, this was then threaded through the hole and stapled in position.

Well hat be it from me for the mo :) I do have a little more Prima fun creativity to share with you Ill be doing that soon :)

Cheers and I hope you have a great weekend lined up!

Other
12 x 12 grey board - Imaginarium Designs
Tag for template
Spray Gesso
Staples

Extra kit
Pencil
Stanley knife
Tonic scissors
Stapler

To begin with I traced out a large tag shape onto some grey board and then cut it out using a stanley knife and metal ruler. for the freehand cutting around the corners I used my Tim Holtz tonic scissors.

I then spray painted the tag with spray gesso however if you dont have the spray gesso, then straight gesso or white paint applied with a roller/paint brush is perfect!

I then applied clear drying glue to the background [see picture above]. I then began to overlay pre cut strips of Prima fibre [as above].

I continued laying on the strips of fibre until the entire tag was covered, and allowed it to dry.

When the glue was dry I trimmed the excess from around the edges of the tag.

This is a close up of how the surface of the tag looked before I completed decorating the tag.

I distressed a length of the silver trim and then looped it before stapling it to the tag.

I then glued a cluster of 3 flowers over the distressed trim. I further embellished these flowers with some of the fabulous Sunrise Sunset Vintage Trinkets.

Below are some close up pictures of the final embellishing :)
